Snooker

The club has two old slate based snooker tables which are of high quality with thick slate bases. New leddownlighters. Regularly recovered, with all the accessories you could want, financed by electric meters.Members can get a key for access to the inside of the club all facilities including snooker tables (except bar) outside normal opening hours. Currently the key costs £10 which is refundable on return.Tables are maintained and also contribute to the upkeep of the club by payments made via the meters thatsupply power to the 8 downlights over each table. These lights ensure the table is illuminated correctly and helpensure that there are no miscues that might damage the green baize cloth. It is therefore essential all round that these lights are on during play and players don’t rely on just the normal florescent tube ceiling lights.Otherwise there will not be the monies available to carry out replacements of the baize and no essential supportfor the building to exist. Please also endure no drinks are brought near the tables as seen recently, as dripsleave sticky patches. 

Petanque

There are two Pétanque ranges with new led floodlights at the back of the club accessible through back door of club or through side gate in club carpark. Terrains are maintained by the Pétanque members.Members can get a key for access to the inside of the club for all facilities (except bar) outside normal opening hours. Currently the key costs £10 which is refundable on return.

I would ask all Members to consider starting to play Petanque and also to talk to friends and family to see if they would be interested.Anyone can come along to the practice sessions on a Monday at 2 pm or visit the Club on a Wednesday evening at 7 pm in the summer to watch a match to see how it all works (and the bar is open for members) and maybe sometime join a team. It really is a simple game and a lot of fun and not terribly competitive!Graham Robinson

Darts, Cards. Board Games, Sporting Events 

We have a dartboard and equipment that can be enjoyed. Along with Cards we also have a number of board games that can also be enjoyed. 

During big sporting events we try to open the club so that these can be enjoyed by all with the bar open.
